Quick checks that often solve or explain a problem:
- Make sure you are using the latest version of MyLOA (check the Download & Pricing page or recent blog posts).
- Verify that your computer meets the technical requirements listed on the Features page.
- Check the FAQ, especially the Troubleshooting & Bugs section, for known issues and common fixes.
- Look at the latest Release Notes in the Blog for recently reported bugs or breaking changes.
- Confirm whether the problem happens with a specific PGN file, opening book, or only when using Lichess or chess.com imports.
- Try restarting MyLOA and, if possible, your computer to see if the issue persists.
Please include as much detail as you can. Clear, step-by-step reports make it far easier to reproduce and fix problems.
Helpful information includes:
- Which version of MyLOA you are using and whether it is Free or Pro.
- Your operating system and any special setup (for example, portable install or external drive).
- Exactly what you did before the problem appeared, including imported files or menu options you clicked.
- What you expected to happen and what actually happened, including any error messages.
- Logs or screenshots if you have them, especially for crashes or strange visual glitches.
Bug report form
After you submit your bug report, it is added to the developer’s issue list for review.
- First, the report is checked for enough detail to reproduce the problem. If more information is needed, you may receive a follow-up email.
- Next, the issue is prioritized based on severity (for example, crash vs minor display glitch) and how many users are likely to be affected.
- Fixes are usually bundled into the next maintenance update or major release; serious bugs may be addressed sooner.
Typical response times vary, but you can expect an initial review within a few working days. You might not receive a personal reply for every minor issue, but all useful reports are read and help improve MyLOA.
